What is Sodium Carboxymethyl Beta-Glucan ?
Sodium carboxymethyl dextran, also known as carboxymethyl dextran, is a carboxymethylated derivative of yeast glucan, generally in the form of its sodium salt. Widely found in grains, bacteria and fungi.
Yeast glucan is a natural polysaccharide widely found in grains, bacteria and fungi. The glucan extracted from the grain is
composed of β-1,4(1,3)-glycosidic bonds, while the glucan from yeast is β-1,3(1,6)-glucan sugar. Yeast glucan has been shown to be an effective immune system regulator that activates immune cells such as macrophages and neutrophils, stimulating host non-specific defense mechanisms.
Sodium carboxymethyl dextran is deeply processed on the basis of high-purity yeast dextran by modern biotechnology, and has good water solubility, which solves the problem that yeast dextran is insoluble in water, and further Expanded the application of yeast glucan, especially in the field of cosmetics.
